Job Context
The Head of Operations will lead all back-office functions, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and smooth daily activities. This role covers Account Services, Payment Operations, Loan & Trade Operations, and Customer Service. The incumbent will align operational plans with the bank’s vision, aiming to enhance productivity, optimize costs, and implement strategic operational risk management.
Responsibilities
• Strategy & Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to develop strategies that align with the bank's vision, delivering cost-effective and efficient operational solutions.
• Operations Management: Oversee Asset Operations, Branch Operations, Liability Operations, Trade Operations, Remittance, and Centralized Bond Management.
• Process Standardization: Standardize processes and rollout procedures across the country-wide branch network to ensure uniform customer experiences.
• Centralization & Automation: Partner with the ICT Division to implement Workflow Management Systems, DMS, RPA, and AI-driven automation to scale operations.
• Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate operational risks while maintaining strict compliance with AML, CFT, and central bank regulations.
• Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives on digital onboarding and eKYC operational requirements.
• Performance Management: Set performance goals, analyze metrics, and ensure the bank meets its financial and operational targets while mentoring teams to foster a culture of excellence.
Educational Requirement & Age Limit
• Graduation/Post-Graduation in Commerce, BBA, MBA, or a relevant subject from a reputed university with no third class/division.
• Must not exceed 50 years of age
Professional Certification
• Preference given to candidates holding CAMS, CERM, CDCS, CITF, or Lean Six Sigma certifications.
Skill Requirement
• Expertise in Process Re-engineering and Target Operating Model (TOM) Design.
• Strong capability in Digital Transformation, Automation, and Change Management.
• Excellent Stakeholder Management and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management skills.
• Deep knowledge of Core Banking Systems (CBS) and automated workflow solutions.
Experience Requirement
• Minimum of 18 years of uninterrupted service experience in Banking Operations.
• At least 3 years of experience serving as Head of Operations in a reputed commercial bank with centralized operational systems.
• Mandatory: Proven experience in a Target Operating Model (TOM) redesign or a large-scale centralization project.
Additional Requirement
• The incumbent must have specific skill and expertise in the centralization transformation of a bank.
• Experience in implementing Digital Document Management projects is required.
